About
After over 30 years of experience designing for global companies, Mitzie Wong set out to launch MYTW Creative LLC, focusing on creating original artwork, designing products and textiles for leading brands across home and hospitality.
Mitzie has been professionally exploring, creating, and designing since graduating from Winchester School of Art, UK, in 1991. After traveling to the US and navigating the design communities in NY and LA, Mitzie took a position with Anthropologie (URBN Group) in 2004. Mitzie was the Design Director for Anthropologie's Home Division. In this role, Mitzie led her team to create original products across all categories, contributing to the company's ascent to becoming a billion-dollar brand.
Mitzie left Anthropologie in 2014 to co-found Roar + Rabbit™, a product and concept design firm rooted in creative freedom, artisan integrity, and narrative merchandising. In Spring 2016, Roar + Rabbit™ launched its first collection with retailer West Elm, William Sonoma Inc. A complete home assortment of furniture and decor, balancing soft colors, mixed materials, luxe details, and modern influences. The Roar + Rabbit™ collection remains the most significant outside collaboration for West Elm to date.
Mitzie's more recent work includes Design and consultative work for ASH NYC, Anthropologie, Arhaus, Collab Society, Coterie, KIPP Purpose School, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Neely & Chloe, Ranika, Selamat, Social Studies and Woven.
Process
I take a smart, hands-on approach to designing beautiful, functional products. I can provide rich informative content for Concepts, build energized merchandising environments, create original artwork and also collaborate with other creative makers around the world. Offering a bigger idea such as a whole lifestyle concept – in Spring 2016 I co-founded and developed the lifestyle brand Roar + Rabbit which launched at West Elm, WS. This exclusive Home line included Furniture Collections, Bedding, Rugs, Lighting, Table Top and Decorative Accessories.
